Amica Insurance announced today a new partnership with Arizona-based CyberScout®, the nation’s leading provider of identity fraud education and resolution services.  Joining the battle against identity theft, Amica is providing its policyholders with access to cutting-edge proactive education and one-on-one assistance from a fraud resolution expert.

“In J.D. Power and Associates’ recently announced study of Homeowners Insurance Customer Satisfaction, they found that more than 40% of consumers are looking to their insurers to provide protection against identity theft,” said Frank Maaz, Assistant Vice President of Personal Lines Products Division at Amica Insurance.  “The experts at CyberScout will not only help us address this perceived need, but they will assist us in providing a service that is consistent with Amica standards.”

Identity Resolution Services

Recovering from the damage done by an identity thief can be a long and arduous process.  CyberScout’s highly experienced resolution experts lead victims through the resolution process one-on-one until their identity is fully restored.  Highlights of this service, available to Amica Insurance policyholders who become victimized, include: 

  • Ongoing fraud monitoring of more than 1,000 databases to identify fraudulent use of a stolen identity.
  • Direct assistance with filing a police report, creating a fraud victim affidavit, plus a comprehensive case file to assist law enforcement and claims handling.
  • Systematic notification to credit bureaus, creditors and collectors, government agencies, and relevant parties.
  • A full year of active follow-up to judge the effectiveness of the fraud resolution and to detect possible recurrent fraud.
