Here at CyberScout, one of our core culture value statements is One Team United, which we define as:
We put the “we” before “me” and win, lose, and learn together. We take pride in our teams and our company. We communicate successes and challenges across all teams and functions. We celebrate our differences, allowing us to make thoughtful decisions and better understand our global client base.
We are taking this opportunity to explicitly put the “we” before “me” and reflect together on a human level. We hear and feel the deep frustration, anger, fear and exasperation over racial discrimination within our communities and societal systems. We want to acknowledge this painful reality with you, our community of clients, partners, and customers.
I want to be clear: Black lives matter and we stand in solidarity with the people and organizations that are peacefully making this clear. We must explore what more we can do as businesses, leaders, employees, and as a society, to help each other become better allies for marginalized groups and to drive progress toward racial justice.
We have always been a company whose people “listen first” before responding with advice or counsel. It’s part of our Culture of Care and it’s what our CyberScout Resolution Center and Incident Response teams have built their service models around.
We are listening.
We are learning.
We must do better.
As of today, we have committed to the following actions:
- We will provide a safe and inclusive space for conversations about racial equity among our leaders and employees.
- We will have a professional firm conduct an organizational evaluation to identify areas of improvement and serve as a benchmark for progress.
- We will expand current diversity initiatives in our hiring and recruiting practices.
- We will strengthen our anti-racism personnel policies and racial-equity training for all leadership and employees.
We are committed to sustainable, meaningful change.
Together, One Team United.
